About Vivi Film

Founded in 1990 by Viviane Vanfleteren, Vivi Film is an independent film production company.

Several short fiction films have been made and in 1995, the short film of Jean-Marc Vervoort, Mrs. Foucault's Pendulum came out on the white screens. The film participated in over sixty festivals around the world, received twenty-one prizes, is distributed in Germany, France, Belgium, Canada, Korea and Mexico and was sold 15 times to broadcasters all over the world. In the mean time, the production was extended to documentaries. During that period, projects for feature films have also been integrated into the company. Our aim is to work together with the writers and directors and maintain open and creative relationships with them. Hide-and-Seek by Gerrit Messiaen and Robert Visser, is a ‘low budget’ film and the first long fiction feature film by Vivi Film that appeared on the Flemish screens. The film won the Grand Prix during the Film Festival “Terra di Siena” in Italy.
