From Addis Ababa wins the Visser-Neerlandia Award for Best Screenplay

'From Addis Ababa', the second feature of Ilse Somers, wins the Visser-Neerlandia Award for Best Screenplay in Development at the Film Festival Ostend 2014. The award was given to writer Ilse Somers and co-writer Rik D'Hiet. 'From Addis Ababa' deals about the adoption triangle and tells the story of an adoptive son, his birthmother and his adoptive mother over a period of 20 years. Besides 'From Addis Ababa' was selected for Schrijfpaleis Deluxe at the Film Festival Ostend. The screenplay has been studied by director Hans Herbots and 2 Flemish and 2 Dutch actors who read a selection of scenes in front of an audience.
