Our position on Generative AI at Vivi Film and its studios.

At Vivi Film, Studio Souza and Creature, we believe animation and storytelling are, first and foremost, human creative acts.

AI can support workflows, research and technical processes, but creativity, authorship and emotional authenticity remain firmly in human hands

AI should support, not replace, creatives.

Important to state clearly:
We have never used any form of Generative AI in all our previous productions such as Ewilan’s Quest, My name is Lilith, The Polar Bear Prince, Upside Down River and Titina.

Our approach is simple and principled:

  •  Human creativity at the core: stories, visuals, performances and voices are created by people

  •  AI as a tool, not an author: limited to non-authorial, off-screen support only

  •  Human oversight always: creative decisions stay with creators

  •  Transparency: clear disclosure with partners and teams

  •  Ethical responsibility: respecting creators’ rights, labour agreements and cultural integrity

We embrace innovation, but what audiences see and hear is shaped through human collaboration, judgment and craft.
